Q4) Who would be the audience for your media product?

As it’s said in my audience research the age targeted are 16-25 black and white because now, black and white people are changing in their music taste and more black people are listening to rock. Before black people main focus on music such as soul and RnB and Hip pop. Hip pop played a large role on black people, mostly males as it was a way for them to express themselves, now they are more divers in their music taste. Likewise white people used to listen to more pop and rock music, now we have male white rappers such as ‘Eminem’. This suggests that rap has become a big influence on the white community especially white male, as they can relate to it in their life. I wanted to interpret this by having at least one rapper’s name on my magazine ‘P Diddy’.

I went for a young target audience as now most musicians coming out are young, making it easier for them to understand each other even more. Also it helps focus on young people today as they are the future. On the other hand it appeals to older audience, as most musicians and successful musicians are around their 20s; in addition they will have more knowledge and understanding than the younger artist coming out.

Also my target audience would be working/ middle class people. Working class because it’s mostly working class people who rely on music to stay off the streets and it’s the only thing to look forward to in their life. This makes my magazine relatable as it inspires people who go through trouble times, to never give up. My magazine targets and audience that have deep passion for music, fashion but also people who are up to date with what’s going on around them.

During my target audience spear time they would, listening to music and watch celebrity news

(E News). They would go on YouTube and listen to new music or watch interviews. Read magazines and look up, upcoming fashion designs and technology. Most of theme would take on subjects such as : Media, Performance studies, Sport andTextiles.
